Keiretsu Forum

The Keiretsu Academy is scheduled on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from noon to 1:30 pm at Foster Pepper in Seattle. Lunch will be provided.

This month, Carter Mackley will be presenting with Jenny Coates on "Founder and Employee Compensation Strategies for C Corporations, S Corporations, and LLCs." They will briefly review other reasons why a start-up may choose a particular entity type (for example, a corporation, because VCs don’t like to invest in LLCs, or an LLC because the business will be operated for cash flows). Then they will explain in more detail how restricted stock, stock options, and profits interests work, founder and employee compensation, the differences between different types of corporations, and Profit's Interests.
